CIA Review:
While on a scouting trip to Israel, Marcus Ryker and his team are on the border to Lebanon. He and his team are preparing for high level US officials ahead of peace talks when Ryker and his team are ambushed and dragged deep into Lebanon.
With a bounty on Marcus Ryker’s head, the US president has to work fast to retrieve Marcus before his captors know who they have and hand him over to Iran. To further complicate the issue, one of Marcus’ teammates is a relative to a high ranking Israel official.
Rosenberg took a big chance with the way he approached The Beirut Protocol in my opinion. The book starts with Ryker and his partners in Israel in advance of a high profile peace meeting. Almost immediately they are attacked and dragged deep into Lebanon. After that moment we don’t see much of Ryker or his partners. Still when we do, we see Ryker, Rosenberg does what he does best, creating tension and suspense. When Ryker is off stage Rosenberg is setting the pieces in place for a turbo charged adrenaline filled story.
Rosenberg creates cast of characters as diverse and complicated as everyday people bringing the story to life. But where he really shines in my opinion is Rosenberg showing his readers how the pieces of the middle east and America are intertwined. When Ryker is off stage, Rosenberg is busy setting the pieces for a world that is more connected than most realize. The Beirut Protocol demonstrates why, in my opinion he is the best in the Christian Thriller genre.
I loved The Beirut Protocol and would recommend you Buy The Hardcover At 12:01
